Mission statement

Al Ahad Foundation is delighted to be serving the needs of the Muslim community. Formed in 2019 as a result of the growing Muslim community within Collier Row, we are the heart of the Muslim community in the London borough of Havering and surrounding areas.

ٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَةِ
“Invite (all) to the way of your Lord with wisdom and beautiful preaching” (Al-Nahal 16:125)

Our aim is to provide a range of religious and social services and activities for the local community based upon the principles and values of our Islamic faith.

We aspire to help preserve the Muslim community within the London Borough of Havering and help shape the future of the wider Muslim community whilst also promoting community cohesion with our non-Muslim neighbours.

The word Masjid () comes from the root of Sujood (), which means to Prostrate, and thus a Masjid is literally a place of Prostration. However, when we look deeper into the life of the Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) and the Sahabah (May Allah be pleased with them All), we learn that the Masjid was more than just a place of prayer. It was a place of tarbiyah, wherein the character of the Muslims were refined, to make them the best of people after the Prophets. It was also a place where they learned, recited the Qur’an, made Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), met others, received delegations, and raised funds for causes within the community. Furthermore, it also acted as a safe place and shelter for the homeless and tended to the sick. It was a hub to the lives of the Muslims for all purposes.

Al Ahad foundation aims to recreate and re-establish a Masjid within the London Borough of Havering, that is a hub for the lives of every Muslim based on the model of Masjid An-Nabi during the blessed time of the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).

Donations

In order to help establish a Masjid, Al Ahad Foundation is looking to raise funds so that a suitable premise can be acquired.
من بنى لله مسجدا بنى الله له بيتا في الجنة (البخاري ومسلم)

The Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) says that whomsoever builds a Masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise (Recorded by Bukhari and Muslim).

So take this opportunity to invest in your hereafter, and your eternal home of the hereafter through donating via one of the methods presented below.

‏إذا مات ابن آدم انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاث‏:‏ صدقة جارية ،أو علم ينتفع به، أو ولد صالح يدعو له‏‏ ‏(‏ مسلم‏)
When the son of Adam passes away all his good deeds end except for three:
  1. Sadaqah Jariya (Continuous Charity),
  2. Knowledge which benefits,
  3. And a righteous child who prays for him.
  4. (Recorded by Muslim)

We pray that Allah subhanahu Wa Ta’ala accepts this donation from you and make it a means of continuous charity on your behalf that you reap the benefits from for every person who benefits from our center until the Day of Judgement.
