Take A Tour
Founded in 2019, Al-Ahad foundation was formed due to the growing needs for Muslim representation within the Collier Row area of the London Borough of Havering. Since 2019, we have been involved in lobbying local councillors and MP within the London Borough of Havering for a permanent place of worship within Collier Row.
From what started as a community of a handful of Muslims, today in 2024, we now boast a large diverse multi-ethnic community (including Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Indians, Algerians, Arabs, Africans and many others) who regularly attend our Jumu’ah, Taraweeh, Eid and daily prayers that are organised at North Romford Community Centre.
Throughout the years we have facilitated events with our non-Muslim neighbours to help build cohesion within the community and teach the peaceful message of Islam.
At present
Despite having a great desire to serve the needs of Muslim Community of Havering on wider scale, we feel lack of resources and opportunities in this Borough has hampered our efforts to get the outcomes we had hoped for. The existing arrangements of late evening daily prayers, Juma prayers, Taraweehs and Eid salahs are held on adhoc basis and in an environment which does not resemble to spiritual and Islamic values. Having said this, we are proud that despite all the hurdles Al-Ahad Foundation has been successfully providing the valuable services to the local community and other Muslim organisations with our experience and financial support.
Objective
Al Ahad Foundation is fulfilling the needs of growing Muslim community in the Collier Row area which is at the heart of the Muslim community in the London borough of Havering and its surrounding areas.
ٱدْعُ إِلَىٰ سَبِيلِ رَبِّكَ بِٱلْحِكْمَةِ وَٱلْمَوْعِظَةِ ٱلْحَسَنَة

Our aim is to provide a range of religious and social services and activities for the local community based on the principles and values of our Islamic faith in form of regular programmes on following topics:

We aspire to help preserve the Muslim community within the London Borough of Havering and help shape the future of the wider Muslim community whilst promoting community cohesion with our neighbours.
Masjid
The word Masjid comes from the root of Sujood, which means to prostrate, and thus a Masjid is literally a place of prostration. However, when we look deeper into the life of the Prophet Muhammed (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) and the companions (May Allah be pleased with them All), we learn that the Masjid was more than just a place of prayer. It was a place of tarbiyah, wherein the character of the Muslims was refined, to make them the best of people after the Prophets. It was also a place where they learned, recited the Qur’an, made Dhikr (remembrance of Allah), met others, received delegations, and raised funds for causes within the community. Furthermore, it also acted as a safe place and shelter for the homeless and tended to the sick. It was a hub to the lives of the Muslims for all purposes.
Al Ahad foundation aims to recreate and re-establish a Masjid within the London Borough of Havering, that is a hub for the lives of every Muslim based on the model of Masjid An-Nabi during the blessed time of the Prophet (Peace and Blessings be Upon Him).
Donate for Jamia Masjid in Havering
In order to achieve the ultimate goal of a Jamia Masjid in Havering, Al-Ahad foundation has decided to contact the local community at the beginning of the blissful month of Ramdhan 2024. It is to ensure that we actively look for a suitable place and the idea behind this campaign is to be in a financially viable position which will allow us to achieve the goal of establishing an independent Masjid. The independent Masjid will strive to provide a range of services that are in line with Islamic values and the growing needs of the local Islamic community.
Donations
(البخاري ومسلم)
The Prophet (Peace and Blessings Be Upon Him) says that whomsoever builds a Masjid for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise (Recorded by Bukhari and Muslim). So take this opportunity to invest in your hereafter, and your eternal home of the hereafter through donating via one of the methods presented below.إذا مات ابن آدم انقطع عمله إلا من ثلاث: صدقة جارية ،أو علم ينتفع به، أو ولد صالح يدعو له ( مسلم)
When the son of Adam passes away all his good deeds end except for three:- Sadaqah Jariya (Continuous Charity),
- Knowledge which benefits,
- And a righteous child who prays for him.
